Dhingana, the Indian music-streaming platform founded by twin brothers Snehal and Swapnil Shinde, today announced integration with Facebook that enables people to share their music with friends and discover new songs through their timelines on Facebook.
Dhingana has joined hands with Facebook so that every time a Dhingana user connects via Facebook, the activity is automatically pushed on the person's Facebook profile so his friends can view his actions, follow his playlists, listen to the same songs and like.
Users will find ‘music posts’ and ‘play buttons’ shared by friends in their news feed. One can also play the music using the Facebook feed. They can also share favourite playlists and songs with their friends and discover the music that’s trending among their friends. When a user spots his friends listening to music on Facebook, he can also click on ‘listen with’ on the Dhingana ticker and listen to that song together.
“More than 45 million Indians are sharing updates about their lives with their friends on Facebook. In the same way, Dhingana will enable music lovers to discover, play and share their favourite music with friends on Facebook.” says Snehal Shinde, CEO and CO-Founder.
Recently, similar music platforms like Saavan, Gaana have also launched similar application on Facebook.
Swapnil Shinde, Co-founder and COO, Dhingana said, “With India’s vibrant and diverse music heritage that spans 35 different languages, this integration combine Facebook's expansive reach with our unparalleled music collection. This will help us make Indian music highly social. With this timeline app, we expect to see a huge jump in the number of people using Dhingana to listen to music in the coming months.”
Dhingana can be downloaded on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry and Nokia phones as well.
