Mogae Media has launched first single-window mobile creative agency called Mobocracy.With a workforce of 12, the agency is headquartered in Gurgaon.
Sandeep Goyal, former JV partner and Chairman of Dentsu India started Mogae Media in October 2011. According to Mogae press statement, the reason for setting up Mobocracy is that ‘search on mobile web’ has grown four since 2010, and by 2013, there will be more mobile web users than those on PCs and laptops.
Mobocracy will help clients set realistic ROI goals for the mobile with a mobile strategy to cut through the clutter by providing technical back-end to power a functional visual front-end.
The agency’s methodology for design of mobile websites include mobile browser compatibility so that the website works fine on all handsets such as the iPhone, Blackberry, Andorid and Nokia, from the smaller screens to the more popular larger ones (128 x 160 pixels, 176 x 220 pixels, 240 x 320 pixels and 320 x 480 pixels). The website is optimized for quick downloading by using optimized graphics, etc.
India’s mobile subscriber base is expected to reach 1.2 billion by 2015 and companies are experimenting with new ways to tap this market. Also, they are looking to explore avenues to monetize mobile platforms used by consumers.
According to a Nielsen Informate Mobile Insights study, smartphone users in India spend about 150 min/day on their phones and more than 50 per cent of this time is on browsing, entertainment and applications.
