E-Billing Solutions (EBS), an online payment service provider, has decided that it will work as the first channel partner for the international online payment provider PayPal in India. The partnership will help EBS online merchants expand their reach to include customers around the world and accept payments in other currencies.
With more than 5,000 online merchants, EBS is one of the largest online payment providers in India. As a part of the deal, these merchants will now have access to PayPal’s 113 million active accounts globally.
EBS said the new partnership with PayPal will give even the smallest of Indian exporters a global reach immediately as opposed to the 30-day period offered by other online payment systems or the 90-day period for traditional export models.
On the partnership, EBS India Executive Director R Prabhuram said “This will help our merchants from selling to global customers from day one with a simple sign-in.”
Merchants will also have a single sign-on to access both their EBS and PayPal accounts. Integration and reconciliation is automatic through PayPal’s Express Checkout, giving EBS online merchants a one-stop payment solution to accept online and mobile payments in nearly 25 currencies.
Mayur Patel, India Country Manager for PayPal Southeast Asia and India said in a statement,"India is a prominent market for us and we are delighted to partner with EBS to help Indian exporters sell to our global customers in 190 markets across the globe. Working closely with EBS, we want to help thousands of Indian merchants go global and experience similar growth rates."
The partnership will benefit small time exporters as it will assist them in finding bigger clients and markets easily.
