At a glittering ceremony at Suntec Singapore, CMO Asia Awards Edition 2 took place on the 22nd of July 2011 where stalwarts of the industry were honoured in the marketing and branding categories. Star India and HDFC Standard Life won over 5 awards respectively in different categories including Popular News Channel for Star News, Best Marketing Campaign For The Year and Brand Excellence Award for Anchor Hunt, 2 serials on Star Plus also won different awards in their category.
Infosys BPO won the Excellence in Branding Award along with Home Shop 18 and HDFC Standard Life. Jagran Solutions was awarded for their work in Social media marketing. The Youth achiever of the year went to Chandramohan Mehra of SBI Life Insurance.
The big one was the Digital Entrepreneur Of The Year and for the fantastic work Rammohan Sundaram has done, he was bestowed with this award. As the CEO of NetworkPlay he has done some fantastic work by launching the company at a time when the global markets collapsed in October 2008 and from there to get the best of publishers & brands to work with them along with bringing in some of the most prestigious events into the country.
