ad:tech New Delhi needs no introduction after its much spoken event it concluded last week in Gurgaon between 22-24 February. The 2012 show saw a hike in several aspects – more exhibitors, focused content, active marketers participation, introduction to the Master Class series, specific one hour EXPO breaks and higher number of delegates.
One of the major attraction at any ad:tech worldwide are its keynote speakers – carefully scrutinized & prolific personalities are chosen to keynote at this esteemed gathering. One of the keynote speaker at ad:tech New Delhi 2012 was Satyan Gajwani, Director – New Media, Times of India Group, BCCL who spoke about the various businesses Times looks into other than their legendary TOI & ET units. His speech revolved around three major aspects – Entertainment, Commerce & Content. He claimed Gaana.com’s massive success as the number one music streaming service in India within four months of its launch. Moving on, he emphasized on how India is an upcoming market when it comes to VIDEO > 4th largest video market. Indiatimes association with the IPL was also briefly spoken about which has shown them meaningful growth & they’re excited to explore new features for this year’s edition too. It was interesting to note the digital route this leading media house has taken over the past few years.
The high point of day two was a launch announced by Satyan about BOX TV > a new initiative by the Times Group; BOX TV would provide super premium web content which is similar to global sites like Hulu. Pointless it would be to reveal exciting data he spoke about here. So go on & watch his keynote exclusively on iMedia Connection India.
